The Disaster Of Tsunami

The earth quake which is produced by the disturbance of water in sea is called as Tsunami. It is Japanese word which is the combination of two words "Tsu "which means seaport and "Nami" means the waves of the sea. On 26 December 2004, a big sea earth quake appeared in the middle of Indian Ocean which introduced as Tsunami all around the world.


This Tsunamis was appeared in the sea due to breaking of the rocks under the surface of the sea which produced great waves which struck against the shore with great power. It was reported that these waves were 35 feet high, some where. The countries around the Indian Oceans, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Thailand were become the victims of Tsunami.According to the report of IUCAN Head Quarter(Switzerland) the cause of Tsunami was the destruction of the natural geographical scenes in these countries. High story buildings of the hotels were constructed for the amusement of the tourists. The ponds for the farming of prawns have also been constructed after cutting the forests.
Due to these causes the natural equilibrium of geography became destroyed in these countries. The dangerous Tsunami which appeared on 26 Dec 2004 lasted till Jan 2005. Nearly twelve countries became the victims of Tsunami. This dangerous sea power destroyed the countries including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand and Maldives Islands. The calculation of destruction was estimated nearly ten billion dollars.
